---A K I R A---

Listen up holmes...

I can only say AWESOME three hundred times a minute (timed myself) so just so's you know, I think your toons are worth at least four hours...
Anyhoo The point is, PREPARE your most fly self for the barrage of questions... well just ONE question over and over...:
HOW do you get such AWESOME sound?
It's not just the music to which I refer (Frosty Vs R was the cream), but ALL of it!? I mean, how do you compress it?
Is there some secret to maintaining a low file size with such good sound?
Do you find that the size of your finished SWF is drasticallymuch larger than it could be?
Oh mighty Flash legend, Please enlighten the new noob on the block.

TmsT responds:

I usually set my sound to 32 whatevers.
The low file size is mostly due to drawing my own images and importing only a few bitmaps (sometimes).
I think that it's the images, not the sound, that make the large SWF file. I mean, my earlier movies were larger than they are now, yet I'm making longer movies now than I was a year ago. How can this be?
A piece of music can only be compressed in one way for Flash, but using images more efficiently than just copying bitmap after bitmap is a trick you should try to learn. I've been making my image-use more efficient since I began, but I can't really do much to make the music used more efficiently.
Draw your images in Flash and re-use as much as you can without copy-past-ing too many non-object drawings.
