You cannot control your audience
You can't! I very much enjoy sprite movies, however this one wasn't very good. This doesn not mean that you are no good, just this movie. It was just the animated sprites with slow dialoge bubbles... Try to edit the sprites yourself and make the movie more interesting. There should always be something that happens that is worth watching to other people. You cannot tell people that don't like sprite movies not to watch it, make something that people will want to watch.
