Okay, you've done one thing to make me the happiest person in the world: featured Metal Sonic as he should have been. My fan-loyalty to him aside, your flash movie is wonderful even for a sprite film.
The finest point in the movie, graphically, is when Metal Sonic is hugging the tube with the sword in it. 'Least that's what I thought.
Your plotline is intriguing, and I avidly await the next installment.

Damn that was really good...I waited for that for so long....but Metal Sonic stole Super Sonic's power?!?!?!? O_O!!!!!!! WTF!?!?!?!? NO WAAYY!!!!! Heh...well I hope my "Sonic's Quest for Power 2 : The Return of Shadow" can be just as enjoyable...except my sonic series is a hardcore intense action series.....so the styles are different...but what you have here is definitely a winning series....and I can't wait for part 3. Good luck!
