If you played the stand_up arcade version of the game when it first debuted you could SHOOT THE ANNOYING LAUGHING DOG FOR A CHANGE!!! It was later made so you could not shoot the dog (probably because small children wound up finding a hidden gun belonging to their parents and end up shooting their dog or themselves in the process)
If you shoot the dog:
