looks like you worked really hard...

keep developing...fully interactive random map generator is an interesting idea, but without anything to do but walk around and admire the fishbowl effect created by the segmented walls...yeah, I took a nap. Anyway, if there's one thing any sort of homage to wolfenstien needs, even just a conceptual description of the process by which it was created, it's dead nazis...or undead nazis...either way.

Okay.. here's a tip

Istead of using a billion instances of wall movie clips, wich makes your maze look all chunky and ugly, you should input every x, y and z coordinate of corners (it can easily be dont randomly) and then just use lineTo.
It miight speed it up a bit, at least it'll make it playable.

TheUnknownAggregate responds:

actually this game only uses 100 movieclip instances that are created on the fly and re-used endlessly to render the maze. lineTo and moveTo are in fact heavily used, for each column!

woah

that's some serious code there .... amazing
like you said though, flash really isnt suited for this kind of advanced programming, it just has too much slowdown

holly shits

thats amazing :o

Walking around.

I must say, I feel it lacked something. Just can't put my finger on it.
