Reviews for "Storm, Earth and Fire (L70ETC)"

This is an awesome song.

I haven't heard the original either, but I bet it doesn't kick this much ass. haha.

You say you dumped the compression and limiter? Still sounds a bit too compressed, I think only on the drums. But otherwise...awesome.

Current Score

4.28 / 5.00 (+ 0.074)

Devastus responds:

Haha, thank you :P

Yeah, it's a bit too compressed still, but that's mostly because of a screw-up that I did which would require me to undo many, many things, and I'm way too lazy to do that now :P But atleast I did something to improve it.

Thanks for your review, man.

\m/

Very nice job bro \m/ I really enjoyed it, the lyrics were nicely done. Xeno ... is impressive as always ! And good job on the drums and the guitar. Though, like Bad-Mum said, the drums are yet overcompressed ... 5'd anyways ! 4.34 / 5.00 (+ 0.058)

Devastus responds:

Thanks man! Xeno really did lash out a rather badass solo. He's the man :P

Thanks for the review and five, dude. Stay metal \m/

is it immoral to 10 your own song?

it probably is, but I have no morals anyway...

hey, thanks again for letting me be a part of this... every instrument turned out super-evil. There was still a compressor-limiter thing happening when I listened, though (as mentioned below in other reviews)... mixing can be very frustrating hey?

yeah, i had never heard the original before i joined this project but we collectively blew the crap out of it. this is evil! you are evil. any future projects you had in mind... i'm 100% available!

long live the metal.

Devastus responds:

Thanks for your review. Immoral? Maybe. Doesn't matter to me however :P

Yeah, there's still overcompressing happening. I could fix it but really, I can't be arsed to do that since the file is a big one and I'd have to undo some things in order to get things straight.

Yeah, I will be definitely contacting you in the near future again for some more vocal work. You fucking rock, man.

Nice use of sound effects

This is a intense peice of metal goodness, Bards vocals kick some major fucking ass, no rushed patterns or empty spots, everthing works pretty wonderfully. I really like all the trade offs.

the leads were awesome but the first ones tone was a little conflicting with the rhythm tone. and i don't think cowbell really has a place in this kind of song. As for the drums can you just mixdown a new track and delete the compressed one?

This shit kills

Devastus responds:

Well, I went and did it now, mixed the whole shit almost from the beginning. Sounds alot better now.

Thank you for pointing out some stuff. I took advice and checked them a lil bit while making a new mixdown of the new drumtrack. Also removed the cowbell, since the first time I put it there, I was like "Well, why not" but when I opened the project file again later on, I didn't like it at all :P

Keep on killing with your shit, man.

Why hello there! D:

I kinda missed this one OR was to lazy to write a review. Hehe. Anyways, on to the song. I've played Warcraft III quite a bit and surely heard this song in it's original form but this...wow...hehe. Awesome! :D

TheBardOfBlasphemy has a fucking evil voice! Is he open for voice jobs btw.?

Your tones mixed nicely with Xenogeno. Overall. Nice fucking arrangement! Props and 5up fuckurs! :D

Devastus responds:

Thanks man! You're not the only one who's been lazy with reviewing, I need to get back on that :P

And yeah, TheBardOfBlasphemy is fucking awesome, and I believe he's open for collabs.

Thanks for your review man.
