It wasn't bad.
A slow piece of Flash, and it's spelled "retriever." Kind of a dumb occupation, (So he specializes in retrievals?) but oh well.
The combat sucked. Straight up. Good ideas, but it was slow, choppy, and a waste of time. The plot was a nice base to the short, but it needed something great to take it places. A twist, a funny ending.. whatever.
You draw well, and with practice in Flash, I think you'll have something great someday. Keep it up.
Good for an initial effort
Your choice of sound and background music were more than apt, but it is the graphics, and the voicing to a lesser degree, that you should work on.
1) If you want to make a really good Flash movie, go back to the classics. Read a screenplay or look at storyboards for a movie. Cinematogrophy is very important for setting up the perfect "shot" in anything visual, from a play to a Flash movie.
2) The influences of a movie like the Matrix are obvious, but it pays not to follow the pack and do so. The Matrix is mostly just paying tribute to older action and kungfu movies, and having an original style is what pays in the end.
3) Recruit multiple voice actors, and try to sketch out your shots before you make them in Flash MX.
4) Have fun!

This is like an animated rip off of rundown, Even the script uses the same speech patterns. The animation wasnt too bad though.

Ok, just because he is a retreiver specialist, retreiving something for his client it is a rip off of the rundown? I believe in the Rundown, the main character looked different, and was chasing his clients son the entire movie. I do not belive he wanted a brief case, nor did he dodge bullets matrix style. Your comment is the equivalent of me saying that Friday the 13th is a rip off of Halloween, or visa versa... A horror is a horror, an action is an action, and a comedy is a comedy. It's hard for an original idea these days... Oh, and your movies are great! ;)
