Okay, I think that the scene in the very first scene in the first movie was actually something that will happen in the fifth. If you think about it, mario is saying, "All dead..." not something like "luigi is dead..." and he doesn't say that in the third episode, where he is looking at the remains of bowsers (king koopas) siege on the castle. If you think of "earlier that day" as in 24 hours, then it makes enough sense. So, if you don't get it already, Mario is looking at the remains of the mushroom people who he told to assist him in "aiding koopa's downfall" who are now "all dead", and basically, mario has totally failed the princess. THe series might end as a tragedy.
THe only thing that does not support my theory is that mario is small during his "all dead" thing, and he ate a shroom in ep. 3... Okay, there might just be a thing where he runs into a buncha hammer bros. and gets small.

You have got to come out with part 5! I am literally on the edge of my seat waiting for part 5 (suddenly slips off chair, but clambers back in) O_o oopsie....but anyway, I REALLY enjoyed watching all the series, nice close ups though, and no eyesores on the pixels-fantastic job on that-I think you managed to clean alot of the unwanted pixels off (did you do that or where the sprites you put in that way?)
