Reviews for "Brunch Of The Dead Ep.2"

Hey

I dunno if you remember me, anyway, I like the way you improved even a little. I notice there was a little emotion in the dialogue before, but you've improved especially the hillarious shrieks (good job by the way), and you're sequencing also have improved it has more flow than before, still it needs more improvements but I bet you'll get there. Your sound fx sounded good (the ones you didn't record), but again the sound recording is my most concern but I overlooked that this time. Umm...suggestions (if you don't mind) try to animate the entire zombies (the ones shadowed in black esp) and with the guy falling slow mode fx use more than one copy of him (at least 3) gradually fading one from before.

Ur still 16 u have plenty of time to be great at it. Also nice to see some1 who can take criticism.
P.S Great job with the vibrating hand joke, clever.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Thank you for your awesome and helpful review to start off with. I'm flattered to hear that you acknowledged my improvement. The problem with having alot of zombies being animated on screen, or at least in Episode 2, was file size. With Flash 5, you can watch a separate scene in a loop and when the file is in a folder, the description will show it's MB space. The scene where The Hero runs past zombies that are following him, I used to have more zombies there who were all walking. Turns out when I read the description for it, the file size was already 1MB! That's too much.
What I will do however is make sure I get everything I want to put in this series by possibly creating more episodes, which I don't think anyone really cares. My personal goal was for 6 episodes, but turns out it may be a little more. More episodes for people to watch (thumbsup to people you enjoy this series).
The slow mode fx could've been executed a litte better I admit, but I had to cut a little more out. The file size of Episode 2 is nearly 5 MBs (the Newgrounds limit).
Thank you once again for the criticism. Criticism is a flashlight to the hand in a room of darkness, and bashing is blindfold over the eyes. I'm glad you liked the vibrating scene, lol.

Not Bad

Some parts kind of slowed down the movie and you also needed some kind of background/score music to make it a little more interesting. Other than that, this series is gonna be great.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

I had to cut some music out because of file size problems. I will infact most likely have to make more episodes, but they will be shorter...inorder to show all of the sequences and hear all of the sounds. So what I'll do, because I know Episode 4 and 5 are big, I'll kinda split those two into two more episodes, most likely.
Anyways, thank you for commenting, and I'm glad that you're getting into the the series/big movie.

nice better then part 1

i hope u make a part 3 keep up the good work

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Episode 3 is half way in completion (animation work wise), and will arrive sometime next week
I'm glad you found Part 2 to be better than Part 1, thanks for commenting :)

Classic B-movie style

I was glad to see that this one started off pretty much where the last one ended, even though you didn't put the intro in this one, which could have fitted. I was a bit confused about where the hero got his exchangable hand, or why he ran back into the house that had swarming zombies around it, but going along with the b-movie style, I suppose it fit. That vibrating hand attachment was hilarious. Overall, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first, but there was some good zombie (and human) killing action, which is always good. Nice work. And on a final note, you really need to work on your car drawings :)

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

I didn't put the intro for two reasons, I wanted to start off the episode right away and also I had barely any more room (file size wise) to fit it believe it or not. I came really close to the 5,000.0 KB limit that Newgrounds has, with a 4,989.0 Kbs.
I'm more than happy that you enjoyed the zombie death, and to explain the vibrating hand is simply this:
Man is right handed, Man loses his hand, Man replaces his right Hand with a robotic mechanism that can slide out a variety of any item he needs for himself, either being a fork, spoon, knife, gun, or even a little helper buddy for those lonely nights. I've had to explain the Vibrator scene to 4 people, haha, and I've always said "lonely nights"
CARS, yeah, I can draw anything onto paper EXCEPT for cars for some odd reason. I don't know why, I just can't draw cars. I can draw trucks, and thats what I drew in the movie. Glad you enjoyed Episode 2, not more than Episode 1, but you still liked it nonetheless. Episode 3 will be Episode 1 & 2 elements put into a fusion.

Ohhh man, my chest hurts from laughing

He should at lease used the sword to kill the zombies, but he screamed like a little girl. Whats with the vibrating fist?

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

lol, glad I gave you chest pains from laughing, hehe.
He'll always alternate depending on the situation on what weapon to use. If he's smart he'll use a gun at a far distance, and a sword at close..to prevent buckets of gore splashing on him.
If you didn't get the vibrating fist, this is a hint of what it's about. Sexual joke, man is right handed, he's lost his right hand in an accident, he replaces his right hand with someform of robotic mechanism that slides out a variety of items (fork, spoon, Sword, Gun, and the hand for lonely nights)lol
