Reviews for "Brunch Of The Dead Ep.1"

Great Intro

A fantastic intro, good music, sound effects. The story seems like it could go a few places, I just hope it doesn't get really lame. The voice had a little room for improvement, considering the girl (at least I hope it supposed to be a girl) behind the bar had the same male voice. The Wilson character was a great spoof, I always wanted to tell that guy to shove his "tips" when I was little. Good ending as well. I guess what I'm trying to say is, all around, a very good movie. Nice work.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Thanx for the awesome review on Episode 1. I'm not the best voice actor, but decent enough for this movie. Also, I purposely made the girlman bartender sound like a man (the loading screen says "starring Girlman) so the gender is whatever you persieve it to be, heh. Thank you once again for your great comment!

pretty good

the black and white was a good idea and the animation was great and making fun of wilson from home improvement was great but the only thing that was bad was the mouthing it was a little slow

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

The mouth synching will never be perfect in my movies I admit, but as long as I can balance the area of improvement by improving other stuff in the moive. Glad you enjoyed the black and white vision, and the Home Improvement spoof, heh.

VERY NICE!!

WOW classic horror movie i loved it, i hate how it ended right there though......but more suspense, and i guess the next one will be EVEN BETTER!! and i was reading threw the reveiws and one said sumthin about a waste truck i mean yah he has a point but then it wouldnt be a classic horror, am i right?

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

I appreciate you mentioning that this is a classic horror movie :). Wow, that has to be one of the best reviews I've received for this episode. Thank you very much.

Pretty good.

That was a good start. Can't wait to see episode 2. I really like that you didn't use gradients this time. The animation was nice and smooth too. I do have one question. Since it's in black and white, does that mean that the gory scenes are in black in white too? I mean, I prefer nice red blood and all that other good stuff. But if it's in black in white that will still be cool. Keep it up. I gave it a 5.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Shades of dark gray and black for blood, but lots of it. I did consider to make everything black and white EXCEPT for the gore, but I thought it would look a little wierd in the end. Might as well just be 100% loyal to black and white and it's colour restrictions. I'm very happy that you enjoyed Episode One has much as you did, and soon enough Episode 2 will be out. Thanks for the 5!

Jesus de Christo!

Wow, normally things like shoddy art and crappy sounds fill me with vengeful rage, but not this time. The quality of the art and acting is perfect for this! I absolutely love your character drawings. I am assuming that you wrote the story (there may or may not have been credits and in either case I didn't read them), it's freakin' great. I love the conversation with the bartender and Mr. Milson. Tone and cadence are perfect for this. Really truly, the style blows me away. Keep your touch!

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

I'm more than happy and thrilled to hear that you really enjoyed Episode 1. That's psychological fuel for me recieved through words.
Not to crazy about you finding the art to be shoddy and have crappy sounds, but the point is..is that you liked how I used the art and sounds.
I'm glad you like my character drawings, and yes I did write the story. For my cartoons, I usually just create seperate jokes and deliver them all to the audience with a menu, but not without sometype of action sequence (Refering to my last three cartoons "UFO Stop", "Bus Stop", and "Outsane"). Brunch of the Dead is different because it's my first solid attempt to adapt my story ideas written on paper and into an animated movie.
Whoops, I commented long, ah well. I said what I wanted to say. Thank you once again for commenting!
