Reviews for "Brunch Of The Dead Ep.1"

B-ratedy goodness

Although you can't get all that much out of it. This was okay, but the next one has to be better.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Episode 1 is my traditional joke delivery like my past three big cartoons (UFO Stop, Bus Stop, and especially Outsane). Episode 2 centers more on the incoming of zombies. Thanks for the 7/10 :)

Decent

I bet episode 2 will be better

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Episode 1: Exposition
Episode 2 & 3: Rising Action
Episode 4, 5 & 6: Climax and Resolution
Glad you enjoyed Episode 1, thank you.

Although not your best, A great peice of work.

As always, your unique style of humor brought another comedic master-piece! The way you incorporate stupid humor and spoofs in your work takes real skill.
The animation was impressive too, even flow of frames and easy to follow.
The theme and idea isn't fully clear beyond theres going to be morbid zombies. But the suspense is great. I can't wait for episode two.
The Zombie, perspective use, and lightning effects were well done.
No violence but theforeshadowing/cliff hanger part at the end with the zombie and the ear shattering screech (not kidding... ahh im deaf!) was a great touch
How ever... You should try to have more interactivity as in your others... like maybe you could have clicked on the cup and seen the ring was some cheep peice of plastic or ugly... or... click on there heads to read thoughts... like (oh how pathetic... maybe if i drink this ring he'll buy one worth wearing)... Just ideas, you dont have to try them im not a creative designer.
Also, I might suggest asking friends to play some of the voices... at least... for the female parts... heh...
Once again, great job man! I'll be back to review the entire series ^-^ D-Dude out, Peace.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed Episode 1, and thanks for supporting the episode on Newgrounds as well. I do hope that you'll, and as well with everyone else, will like Episode 2 as well. It's pace and material will be much different than Episode 1 (not because I'm deciding to change things right now, but my script tells all)

I like your ideas very much making things a little ol' fashioned and classic like and yet hinting a little modern humor, and I admire your strategy introducing things one at a time and building things up on the next chapter and so on, but It's the way you deliver that dissapoints me.

Try not to suddenly pauses the sound, for example if you have a background music try slowly fading it instead of abruptly stopping, or when there's a conversation try not pause in the middle of it instead try to make things flow. I haven't tried to make flash yet (darn broken computer (I'm using my old laptop now)) so I don't know the real pain but keep on trying.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Sound isn't much of a problem at all, really. Not when you've got decent knowledge and understanding of what can and cannot be done, and also the right audio editing software is always good to have.

I'm glad you liked my ideas, and even though you didn't like how I executed some of the dialogue and such, it's good to hear that you still enjoyed Episode 1.

sequal

pretty good a sequel about how zombies rampage would be good idea.(and fun too)

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Well....this is episode 1 of 6. So pretty much each episode is kinda like a sequel. As the movie progresses, the zombie carnage increases alot. Glad ya liked the movie.
