Cool

Good choice of instruments and explanation.
I was thinking the same thing when I made mine for the contest.

Who wants another classical piano song, right?
You're competing with Chopin and Mozart.
Hehe.

But yeah. Nice song, I like the historic feeling. I would like a hook, as it's kinda just plodding along wherever it wants. But progressive songs are cool too.
This song would do well in one of those war videogames (Civilization and the like).

I'm running out of stuff to say for responses to reviews.

Thanks for the review? :D

Nice.

Very good piece.

Pros:
+ Pretty interesting
+ Great use of the synths
+ Peaceful

Cons:
- Maybe a piano would sound good in this...
- Found it kinda repetitive, but who cares, it's still enjoyable to listen to!

Good job. Overall Grade: A- 4.5/5

Draqo responds:

No piano for j00! Though I do play one, I just didn't want to enforce the stereotype.

Thanks for the review. :D

Interesting

I am afraid it is just not my cup of tea and i will not dock you for that, though what you tried to achieve came out pretty damned well.

I listened but i was unable to hear those clicks...

I like bagpipes, though i perfer them, in a more upbeat usage. But naturally that makes no sence here. I liked the synths you used as quire voices. Or at least they sounded like that to me up close. During that sort of solo.

It is kind of short, but that is okay. Anyway, nice job. Not a total piece of crap. 9/10, 5/5

Draqo responds:

Choirs are actually synthed samples (with dynamic switches to seem like the choir is taking breaths/transitioning) rather than complete synths. And yes, some people are use to bagpipes playing amazing grace, Greensleeves, or bar songs from Irish/Scottish folk music.

Thanks for the review. :D

Very nice

I gave it a 4.

you really know to describe your songs.
"a highland warrior's funeral with traditional bagpipes." is seriously the most fine describtion to this classic but yet with good beats and reminds me some what assasin creeds. i dont know why.
but it gives me a serious feeling of old and yet with a Fighters spirit and some medivel ages.

Draqo responds:

I'm behind on my responses. I always have a story board in my head for most my songs. :)

Thanks for the review. :D

New sounds!

That song is really interesting!
I like the way the instruments play around the notes.
Hopefully you know what I mean.
The intro is very nice! I like how the srings (?) bend the notes.
Waah English is too difficult.
Congratulations for the front page entry!
