A Very Deep Subject Matter

It's very surprising to see a Flash movie with such a deep personal subject matter here in Newgrounds, and I think that it keeps the Portal's content from being stale and unoriginal.

I enjoyed the deep meaning of this Flash movie. It first shows the consquences of suicide, then shows the two seperate paths: whether you end your life for nothing, or live on to slove your problems.

I have to agree with your stand on this. People shouldn't end their lives just because things aren't going their way or that they feel unloved and unwanted; whatever the reason might be. We only have one life to live, and it's a short life, really. Life is what you make of it, not how you end it.

Your Flash movie has touched me deeply. Thank you.

very well done, i like the style alot, and the music was cool too. The premise is quite intriguing, especially for somewhere like newgrounds.

A bit dark, a bit juvenile, but well conceived.

Not lame, but unpolished. Pop symbolism was a bit strong with the rose. We don't like "poser goth morons," do we? LOL

Be easy on the symbolism, though the mirror was well utilized. Sound was good, animation was simple without being simplistic. Muted colour fit the bill too. Not sure where you were going with the film effets. Short enough not to bore, but long enough to keep my interest. Keep it up.

*reads Rude_23's review* Wow..someone's got issues, eh? Heh. I have no idea if Shadeborn is a "poser goth" as Rude implies (as opposed to real goths, whom Rude apparently also hates), but Rude definitely is bitter. A twisted, bitter remnant of a soul, cringing and hissing at the success of those more fortunate. A shrivelled waste of envious gray matter, of futility and empty carping.

Or maybe it's just me.
