If you were a Filipino, you'd know that the place you drew was Philippines, probably somewhere in the provinces. It almost looks real as well. I really liked how you worked on the clouds. You can see that dark cloud that stands out whenever you look up in the rainy season. Imba mo tol! =))

I was recently in the Philippines (Palawan) doing volunteer teacher work for my step-mother (filipina) and your painting makes me homesick. Yes during my experience there, I have considered the Philippines a second home for me. I love the community and the way things connect there. I miss it already and I'm only back in America since January 18th!
The scene in your painting is so very filipino, a sight seen every day from my office/bedroom window. I would often just sit and watch the people do their daily tasks. I felt good to be there and experiencing as I did.
I had some good memories made there. I will definitely return. I have many friends on many islands whom I wish to visit.
Maybe this time I will actually learn Tagalog! haha!
