Reviews for "(PREVIEW) Monochrome Judgments"

Not quite perfect

Overall the song was good, but I still am not sure if I like it as much as some of your other works. It felt a bit cluttered in some parts, like there was too much happening at once. The pause around 1:15 wasn't that great and I've learned that usually pauses in the middle of songs are not so great. (perhaps this makes me a hypocrite since I'm guilty of this but I digress.) Also, distinguishing a melody from the rest of the song would, in my opinion, help things improve. Maybe I'm sounding a bit negative... don't get me wrong, overall good song, just pointing out what I think should change here.

NickPerrin responds:

Definitely fair critique.
I should say, though, that this music differs a lot from my other work on purpose. There is supposed to be an often overwhelming quantity of musical information thrown at the listener that is all revelead in many listens. Or, clearer but overstated musical phrases... just all-out sensory assault haha.
Thanks for the review!

Nice!

Wow this reminds me of many of my favorite Power/Prog/Speed/Symphonic Metal bands, has a slight touch of Gothic and Black-Metal stuff too! Very very cool man. I like your style =)

epic

nuff said bro

Can't wait.

I can't wit for the entire song, and yes, I agree, this should be in misc.

amazing!~

hmmm what is at the very back of this?....if I unfocused my eyes and listened carefully something sounded very faint but piercing in the background...or is it just my imagination? anyways I love it once again ^__^

NickPerrin responds:

That's the nature of these tunes. If you change your listening "focus" you will discover something new in each track (not necessarily for the ENTIRE track, but for many parts of it. I like the idea of multiple listenings rewarding the dedicated listener). Better mixing/mastering would probably help this process haha. I hope to post more of this style soon.

Thanks for the review!!
