Good game marred by bad controls.
This reminds me a bit of Stixworld, a DOS-based game I had a few years ago. There's a lot you could do to improve this game -- the Trap Room and Grenade stages are a bit too easy, in my opinion, though the Galaga-style stage was pretty much okay.
The part I had trouble with was the Shootout stage. When you've got a game that's based entirely on timing, it's imperative to have controls that respond quickly and reliably. My little stick guy _did not respond_ to the "stand up" and "shoot" keys at least 1/2 the time while facing off against PARC... fix the controls and you'd have a fairly decent ending to your game.
Voted 3. Without the problems in Shootout, would have been 5. Keep up the good work!
