its good but not...
Simple, but addicting.
Castle Cat is nothing more than a simple platformer, it's rather addicting though. A bit too challenging for me, but not impossible. The graphics are great, and the sound is entertaining (mostly consisting of Daffy Duck quotes). There are a few powerups that can spice the game up a bit.
Overall, a decent game. Nothing outstanding by any means, but I'm willing to give the second one a try.
A classic from my childhood.
Ah, yes, Castle Cat. I played all 3 of the games in this series that were hosted on Newgrounds, plus the 4th installment on the Mausland website. When I was a young'un, this was the game that I always revisited on this site.
Well, here I am, a young, teenage girl revisiting her favorite Newgrounds game, and I must say, it still has a special quality about it that I simply adore. The title character is snarky and humorous and the music fits the game well. My only complaint about this game is the length. It's too short for me. But, then again, this game is from 2004, so there were a LOT of short games back then, and there still are some, now.
In other words, this game is a classic. I'm sure I'm not the only one who played this game as a kid. Other than sites like Nickelodeon, this game was one of the first things to introduce me to flash games. I thank you for that.
