agreed with the voice of g.bush - baaaaaaaad! Liked the mother bit - made it funny, without that it would've been a waste of my time watching it. There's nothing new here.

i know it needs work, i'm sure you do, and i know what its like when ppl say your work is pointless, or shit or it should be blammed. i think you should take this back, and do some work on it.and i dont think that those stupid americans who think dubya is great are ready for stuff like this, so i suggest you do something else in the mean time. but it is a good idea, and it has alotof potential.

...and you are right! I would have liked to put a little more time into this one, but I wanted to get it out while the speech was still in everybody's mind.
In a week, this movie will be much less relevant.
This flash is the one that's lying
1. Everybody, including the UN, believed that Saddam had WMDs and he sure didn't do much to let the world know otherwise.
2. The wealthy got tax cuts yes, but so did the middle class. He increased the tax credit for children, so that families with more children got to keep more of their money and he got rid of the marriage penalty tax. Or are the rich the only people who get married and have children? The rich are still paying more taxes than we are. A LOT more. They still end up paying well more than half of the taxes in this country. It stands to reason to me that if you're paying a lot more than someone else in taxes, that when there's a cut, you should get a bigger piece of it. But actually their percentage is less. Middle class gets roughly 32% cut of the taxes they pay and the rich get about 16%. But they pay so much more than we do that their 16% ends up being more than our 32%. Alright, I've had my say. Now I guess it's up to you to come up with something to say that maks what I said irrelevant.

Me? Make what you said irrelevant??? Not me! OK, I usually do. However, your point is actually modestly valid and I will address it as such.
Your numbers are basically correct, as is your premise. Your statements of fact are not rocket science, and I guess that I just take it for granted that people know those facts (but I probably give the average Joe too much credit).
In Europe, Wealthy Europeans are taxed as much as 90% of their income (Much more than us!)
Now, it has been a while since I have seen the actual number on this, but I know that you will understand what I am getting at.
The last time that I saw this number, 20% of Americans were in control of 80% of this country's wealth. That number is absolutely staggering. That means that the other 80% are squeaking out a living on the rest.
The average wage nationally is $43,000 (now, I can't remember is that is per individual or per family, but it doesn't matter). It doesn't matter because that average wage includes those wealthy people who have 80% of the income.
That means that the average Joe Shmo is making more like $10,000-$30,000 per year to get to a number like $43000.
Personally, I have always made between $25000-$30000. That income has been the best I could do with 3 college degrees (graduating with a 3.5) as well as being triligual (although I haven't used my Italian in years and I have lost a bit of it).
My point is simple, if the wealthy didn't pay this type of bigger percentage this country would fall apart. THAT IS THE UGLY TRUTH. You will find that in every successful modern society that this is the case.
However, it is not helpful that we allow major loopholes for our corporate citizens to slip through. On the radio just the other day, They were talking about an American company that nets over $20 billion per year and pays $0 in taxes. If we took on the type of special interests that allow that to occur, that would help relieve the tax burden too.
In the very basic premise of your arguement, you are correct. In the real world, though, we do not live in a vacuum and all things are not equal.
It is incumbent upon the wealthy to pay higher taxes in order to keep this country afloat. If they don't pay those taxes, we would be insolvent as a country.
Does it suck for the rich...NO! Absolutely not.
After paying their share, albeit a higher share, they will still find themselves wealthy and be able to enjoy a comfortable life.
It would be much more painful not to pay the taxes. Let's face it, If you are rich, but crime is so bad that can't leave your home because there was no tax money to pay the police. Or, you risked leaving the house to get food. However, there was no food because the trucks couldn't deliver the food through the deep potholes that we used to call roads because there was no tax money for upkeep.
Yeah, you could look at it as simple tax ratios, but it is far more complicated than that! George Bush is not doing this country any favors when he cuts taxes, AND THAT IS THE TRUTH!
