Square Kingdom is coming along too !
I decided the player needs to kick the person in the face to talk to them, you'll see. Also, if I didn't yet mention it, there will be a special password given at the end so you can build (and record) your own RPGs in it.
I'm anticipating the filesize to now be at 1.5megs when complete, with a cute sexy ending for the brave adventurer. :)

I think I wrote that tutorial mostly for myself. Once I finish SK I'll write a more comprehensive and hands-on tutorial explaining more things I've found about Flash and programming Actionscript.
Regarding Flash MX 2004.
I don't think so ..
Flash 7 won't run my code.
My first few attempts with it weren't as successful as Flash 6 MX.
On the line of my new project in the works, Square Kingdom:
World Reader/Writer . complete
Load/save Game ...... complete
Basic Testplay ...... complete
RPG scripting ....... complete
Combat Effects ...... (In works!)
It will have 16 songs in it for various stages of the RPG including combat, city, story, dungeon, fortress, and boss battle music.
I see the compilation size to be about 2megs in total and if you win, you get the password to edit the existing world and make your own RPG with the on-board included map editor/world/script editor.
I also see it being completed before the end of March. :)

Hey this Tutorial actually helped me out. im gona submit my movie once im done. Oh yea back to the review this tutorial is different from all the others it actually explains a lot and real nice pictures and everything very clear. Thanks for actually makin a good one. Oh yea maybe u could explain more about action scripts in the next one.

"The Square Kingdom."
Most of the modules are already written, it is just a matter of putting the pieces together. :)

Hey!!! This tutorial is so great... first of all the main menu is really inviting so you just wanne check all the steps out... Not like alot of other tutorials witch are really, REALLY ugly. real nice... Easy learning. not complicated. nice layout... uhm what more. Songs are ok. Link to get flash. Like your website! :) But a minus... you should make a demonstration on some of the tings you "teach us" like some one walking or something like that....
