hey
you mixed up the Action scripts with the curser. you switched the curser script with a movment script so now you just push left right up or down to move it.

hey, i have an important question
ive been tring to make a custom mouse for quite some time now, and ive tried over 100 tutorials, and none of them work! This one didnt work, its either you have out the wrong intructions, or im just dumb and cant understand. But i do know i did EVERYTHING ur tutorial told me to do, i tested my movie, the mouse just stayed there. Please help, or if anyone else reads this, e-mail me and HELP ME!!!

ok! if you've got flash mx. I will tell you how to make a custom mouse draw anything like a mouse and then select the picture, all of it and turn it into a movieclip by press F8 and select the choose movieclip. after that press ok. then only on clcik on this movieclip then press F9. in the action script mode you can see on top of it. it must say actionscript-movieclip but not frame. then turn it into expert mode by pressing the arrow in a blue square and choose expert mode. then do forget type this in....

Very nice tutorial! It was hilarious how you made the beginning screen and stuff seem like the Medal of Honour series :P That gave me a good laugh. Pretty good content as well-I have never seen a Flash MX tutorial make daily 5th place. Therefore, congrats! You could have explained the script a bit more, however. I already understand all of the ones you've mentioned but it would help out if you explained the structure of Actionscript before stating a few. The drawings were decent, nice inclusion of music and graphics in order to make it look like MoH. I'm sure a lot of people have been wanting to view a tutorial like this in a while, and you've brought it to them. Congrats. Overall, good job. Could've been improved graphics wise (slightly) and be a more descriptive-but the content was there and kicking ass!
P.S.
I made a tutorial on the basics of flash. Can I get your opinion on it? (considering you're a fellow tutorialist) If you want to use any of it's content, be my guest.

this is a really great tutorial for ppl who haf juz started Flash, or just started incoporating first person shooters into flash ( doom, counter strike, quake) and it would have really been useful for me if it appeared 2 years earlier...
however this tutorial doesn't go into detail, ya? since your talking about shooting.. how about the magazine load of the gun, the people you have to shoot, the lives they deduct from you and stuff like that..
well, all in all, i really think that its nice of u to stand forward and conduct a tutorial becuz there have been many crappy ones around.. so go on, get into more sophisticated stuff !! =)
