How are you bending your wrist to play this??? Are you using the main keyboard or are you using the number pad right beside it (which was my intention). If you have problems using that, make sure the "number lock" is turned off.
The best way to play is by keeping your middle finger over the "5" button (on the number pad). The game controls are positioned directly around the "5" button. Try using your index finger to control the left side of the number pad and your ring finger to control the right side.
Practice and Patience... It can be done!
Great Concept, weak execution
The controls blew hard dude, punches flew right thru Tyson. But all is not lost.
His dialogue at the end was hilariously realistic and when the f0cker started biting me, I was laughing too hard to play.

Heh once i read your comments i really was hoping for this to be good. But this game is extremely hard but not only is it hard the controls are pretty horrible too. But the worst of it is sometimes a punch that should hit tyson just seems to go through leaving him unharmed. Fix the controls and that bug and the game would be great. i'm not complaining that its hard though the orginal punch out was a real pain too and it should be hard but when punchs do nothing its just pointless.

Fans of the original Mike Tyson's Punchout for the NES will know that it is notorious for being one of the most difficult games to beat. I wanted to make a game that's difficult at first (It is afterall Mike Tyson vs. a fat, out of shape white guy) but not impossible to win (with enough practice).
As for the phantom punches. Try not to press the controls at random and hope for the best. There is a bit of a strategy involved. Sometimes he will be open for a hit sometimes he won't. When you miss him, most of the time he'll dodge it, but sometimes he doesn't (he'll take it because you are WEAK and he's CRAZY!!!). Either way you missed him and you lost some hearts for it.
As for the game controls... I've already replied to that elsewhere.
