statement about society maybe?
I like this movie a lot. It really points out that we teach our kids to further their own needs above those of the less fortunate. And as a red blooded American I agree with that sentiment, but at the same time this movie tugs at the old heartstrings. You just won't see me down at the local shelter or anything. Really enjoyed the silent film feel. Great job.
Not bad
Some people (the father) are really like that; it's terrible. A good message, I think, would have been for the boy to give the bum his present.. though that would have been predictable I suppose. I guess, if nothing else, this piece illustartes the stranglehold of christmas bribery some parents use on their kids to be "good"; while most parents themselves no nothing of decency themselves.

there are tons of homeless shelters, and churches and other places that will feed, bed and help him, and even give him a christmas party.
The only rule is that you dont do drugs or other things illegal while in the shelter
but they like to shoot up and steal stuff, so they get kicked out, or simply dont go

It would have gotten a lot higher if the boy gave the homeless man the present... and it would have better captured the Holiday Spirit...
