I Like it!
LOve the design for his head, but background colour is too bright for me, and i think if the proportions on his chest were overall larger than it would truly give off its immensing look but overall mad piece of work here

i like it for the most part
great art definitely looked like a labor of love. the only hang up i have on it is creative opinion. i know that shouldn't be brought up in a review because if i find fault with it i should go make my own boss character, but i just find fault with the body. the body seems a little generic where the head looks like it belongs on an equally original body. other than that personal problem i have with it, it's an amazing work of art and i hope i can see this boss character tormenting gamers in a couple of years.

I think you should read my review on your super demon guy that you posted on the 11th because it really ties into what I'm saying here. I really want to get into this guy as much as your other piece, but I can't. My main reason for this is the difference between head and body. His head (whether that's just a helmet or not) is SO HUGE. His body looks small, frail, and pointless in comparison to how fantastic, layered, dominant, and ALL POWERFUL his head looks. Don't give him lame black claws with something like that. The other character's claws sort of tied him in as corrupt and consumed by the darkness. Like he fell victim to it. This character doesn't feel like that at all. He feels like he MADE darkness. Give him some badass armor or something. Make his shoulders, arms, chest, and everything AS BIG as that awesome head. It will make him feel so much more dominant. If I saw a boss with that helmet while playing a game, I would think 'this is going to take me at least three lives to kill.' His body takes away from that power. From that Valkyrie scream of EPIC. Darkness and mystery only give power to a character who's whole aura is one of darkness and mystery. The shadows over his lower half don't sell me nearly as much as just how strong he looks. He looks like a boss I would just HATE every time I played through (in a good way). I would get to level 9 and say, "oh god, it's THIS boss again. This sucks." That's a good thing to go for.
Now with all that whining I still give you an 8. It seems like you were selling him as a manager over some minions with a name like Skull Summoner or something. The fact that I pick that up from the drawing gives you the 8. The background, the general aura of this form sells that, but it just doesn't top how awesome that helmet is.
Still excellent art though, sir. Excellent art indeed.
Awesome but Uninspiring.
I love the concept and idea. Making Satan into a robot requires a good deal of imagination, but it is difficult to see how it can be executed. The facial features do show some constructive forces but the body looks biological. Also because it's black and white I have little feel of the skin textures.
However the drawing outlines are very accurate and I can almost taste the evil it emits. The upper facial parts are complete and really neat and sensible. But with half the background being just a red fill there seems more that can be done to convincingly bring this promising boss character to life.

My drawing is more of a reverse-engineering process. I knew I was going to make an evil boss character, and he was half human half machine, then I started doodling around until I saw somehing I like. Half the way through, I said, "hey this guy has a satanic look", and then I put the horns on him and give him the name.
I only had a couple of hours to work on this, so excuse me for the lack of background. ;P

You shoulda added some satanic symbols like embedded in his skull or chest or something but I dont know just my opinion.
