Reviews for "Catapult"

All hail.....King of Loosers.....

Haha....that was a realy funny game.

Sound:

The sound was realy good.... almost peed myself when i heard "All hail king of tha loosers"(just kidding)... oh and i didnt heare any Crickets!..
-------------------------------------------------

Gameplay:

The game was cool, but a little to hard.... after dying 4 times i got a little better but i still kept loosing.... i DONT think you should change anything in the game because a challenge is allways cool......
-------------------------------------------------

Grapichs:

The Grapichs where good... i loved the "Cartoony" style of the angry mob.The catapult and Castle was also good.
-------------------------------------------------

I dont know if there are any more levels....but if there are they must be cool ;).....

I see you put a lot of work in to this(coding and stuff)....and it turned out great!!!!....

4/5

Hope this review was helpful!...;)

The 'cartoon style' mob is actually a sorry excuse for not caring to animate half a dozen of people that would be viewed as little blobs at 100% magnification. But instead I worked to make the 'fight cloud' look decent.

Pretty good game

You don't see nearly as many games on NG as movies because people don't like to code ;)

This was fun. I didn't get very far so you may have already done some of these suggestions:

1: Player gets a certain number of troops that he can send out to meet the enemy troops. They cancel each other out after fighting for a bit. You get more skirmishers as you destroy more buildings.

2: The enemy skirmishers occasionally come out with a big shield over them, and your first hit destroys that shield if you hit from above. A hit straight across will take em out.

By the way I found that firing with little height but max force was the best way to clear the enemy dudes.

spike76 responds:

Good suggestions!
...and games only get half-assed ratings too. Most of them deserve about a half-point higher for the amount of work that was put into them. But NG viewers want movies, so they vote for movies. Meh. Also, if the wind is in your favor, it's easy to kill a mob or two AND hit the fort with one rock. I originally designed this so that halfway up each bar would be perfect.

at first i thought it was bad but then

i played it afew times and liked it

its not a game u play once and decide you gotta play it afew times to get the hang of it

very addicive and fun

great job on it

Very nifty little game

I like this game a lot. It is very addictive, I spent a while just playing and learning. I love how you did that little trick with the daytime and nighttime, although it wasn't easy to get my computer's clock back to normal time. The sound effects were great, I loved that. Especially when you lose, that was great. The health meters are a little bit hard to see at night, but I could tell nonetheless. You did a great job with this, but it's going to keep me up late.

spike76 responds:

Shouldn't have changed it in the first place, heh. I picked a particularly punishing sort of insult for the loss screen. All you losers out there: "All hail!"

Not too bad, not good either

I did not enjoy this game one bit. The guys run at the catapult too fast. there is not enuff time to fling the stupid stone. Make the battle field more open. it would be nice if i had guys on my side to defend my catapult.

spike76 responds:

Practice a little. I smash that fort every time just from testing it now and then. I actually though helpers would make it too easy, and I doubled the cataapult life bar after a request elsewhere.
