I really liked the first part and I hope you will finish the second part.
By the way you should make it REALLY a RPG not a shoot'em'up.
Dude, I have a few suggestions...
I prefer the battle system in the first Nintendo RPG better. If you keep this game with the 'click on it to attack it' way, it should NOT be called an RPG; it will be a shoot-'em-up game. Still, I liked the use of backgrounds from Shining Force 2. Oh yea, one minor note: WHERE IS JON FROM THE FIRST RPG?!

Hmm.. Perhaps you should try to make a better sound for the game. It´s kind o´ boring. And if you also add just a little humor, it would be really good.
