Reviews for "The normandy mission P1"

Good, though not without flaws

I always enjoy WWII-related things pretty much anywhere, so this was fun to watch.

I've read reviews of people comparing this to Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, DoD, CoD, etc. While I can say I can see the similarities, I won't take points off because I didn't see any blatant stealing.

I was able to tell that you got your sounds from Call of Duty, so technically it isn't your fault that the M1 Garands weren't quite correct. They had a softer sound than that.

Also, the soldiers calling the anti-aircraft "Flak 88s" is also incorrect. The Flak 88 was a specific weapon that was feared because it could be used for AA purposes, or turned to fire upon tanks or infantry. What the Germans were using were called Flakvierlings. While this isn't a specific piece of AA either, the name is given because it has four barrels instead of one or two, hence the "vier" in the name, or four in German.

One last thing I'll point out is that the Germans particuarly those stationed in Normandy at the time of the invasion didn't have dark uniforms like that. The color was more of a medium-greenish color.

A few other things that stood out to me from other reviews. The whole "Alpha", "Bravo", etc. company thing isn't specific to WWII or anything for that matter. You'd have the 101st Airborne Division (not Regiment), then a specific Regiment such as the 506th, and then a Company with a general letter assigned to it.

About the weapon with a scope, that wasn't an M1 Garand. Rather, it was supposed to be a Springfield 1903 Sniper Rifle, which *was* used by American snipers in WWII. So he was correct on that one.

Rocked

That kicked ass. You did a great job. Kudos!

Not bad man

I liked it alot. Infact I believe there was a flash animator named Lokie who drew in the same style. Infact it was the landing of D-Day

nice work especially because...

you had a lot of stuff that was real. I just had to do a world war 2 project in highschool and i noticed many things in the mive that i found out. many people today wouldn't recognize that sort of stuff, but i did. overall, the movie was prety good and you hooked my interest. great work

really didnt like it....

the graphics were bad the animation was pretty bad and just overall not very good.
