cool stuff

liked it a lot, I certainly could add some vox to this, I'll have play with it and see if I come up with anything good:)
Reminds me of New order/lightning seeds, with a modern front, the little vox sounds swirling in and out are brilliant.
Good stuff man.

pitbulljones responds:

Glad you liked it man, I'll take those comparisions ta mate, new order are pure legends in my eyes. Haha the vox is me just harmonising a bit, some delay and verb and reverse treatment. If you lay some vocals down i'd love it. thanks for the review.

Nice!

Hello Pitters. I don't mind lending my ear a bit.

I really like how this one sounds. Sometimes simplicity is nice. Good use of tremolo effect on the main guitar. The reverse guitar, I think makes the song. Really nice job with it. The percussion is good and varies nice, but I think you should turn the reverb down some. The sound is too drown out, I think.

The only other thing that could make this song better is some killer vocals. Try it sometime ;)

pitbulljones responds:

Thanks for the review man. I'm always happy when i use my guitars to make music, tend to have a total different sound compared to the synth work. Yea that reversed guitar does work a treat on this track, It's all one take of me playing lead but ive just cut it in parts and it worked out for the best. ezdrummer for the drums. my lifesaver, i actually now have the drums to back up the sound.

Indeed mate it needs vocals, im trying to get someone to do em as I speak. I can only sing fleetingly in tune so i aint doing it haha

All I can say is.....

All I can say is......fucking fantastic my friend.

I honestly can't think of anything wrong with this track, The mixing is great, the drums are great, the tune is great.....nothing negative I can see at all. I know that's not much help, but seriously, I don't think you could do anymore to this track at all.

Well done my friend

pitbulljones responds:

awwwwww thanks man.

I think the track is a bit muddy meself, me harmonys are too drowned but hey everyone else seems to thinks its on. It needs mastering though and i aint too good at that yet. The drums are ezdrummer, I seriously advise you to get it. I aint a drummer i can't be arsed with drums fucking leave it to that i tell thee. haha well a review is better than no review at all glad you enjoyed it and thanks again.

shieeeetttt

This reminded me of early New Order just after Ian killed himself.
Love this.
Keep this up. :D

pitbulljones responds:

thank you for the review. Yes it does have a new order vibe, it's in me genes being a mancunian and all. though it wasn't intentional at all, just that pick at the beginning and i work around that. You should watch control if you like new order and stuff, the actor who plays curtis is phenomenal.

"Just a little short of professional..."

Percussion IMO should not stop completely at :29 and 1:12... leave like a quarter note hi-hat or something.

I agree with Chron on maybe diversifying... at 1:45 a guitar solo would be much appreciated. The beginning and ending however, I feel are effectively simple.

Just a little short of professional... needs vocals, which I may or may not provide. :) Depends on how crappy I sound.

pitbulljones responds:

Hey G9, Maybe you're right with regads to percussion, a ratatat would have worked pretty well, but I do prefer it with gaps, especially early on. haha yea, 1.45 does suit a guityar solo, im in total agreement, I aint a fret wanker, i can riff away but solos aint a massive thing of mine, then again I only need 20 seonds worth a most...hmmm good spot.

Hey bang vocals on all you want, if you work in cubase I'll send you the project files.

thanks for the review.
