Reviews for "Ants in a Better Place"

Very Good

I gave this one a ten. It remind me of the score in the film Solaris... calm and very relaxed. I just had to download it. Good job!

Gillenium responds:

Thanks! I actually haven't seen Solaris, so I'd compare this to a more energetic form of the music in the movie Sunshine. And a happier form, too, that movie was kind of a downer.

really good

I think I just may download this song

Gillenium responds:

I appreciate it :)

wow pretty awsome,soothing

i can see a bunch of dead ants floating up to ant heaven in this song! and then making it to heaven and realizing there on an acid trip. great sound i love it. everything fits perfect.

Gillenium responds:

Haha, tripping ants. I wonder if that's even possible. Thanks for the review!

Well done

I do have to say that this song was well done. It could easily portray many landscapes just by saying so. Heck, if you said it was a walk in the jungle, I would have thought "Wow, this sounds like a nice relaxing stroll in some jungle (or what it would be like without any dangers involved)". Of course it could very well fit the space theme. Just sitting here and listening to it was relaxing and worth it.

I give it 10/10 for fear that if there was anything changed or edited in this song, it would only detract from it.

Gillenium responds:

I think that's true for a lot of songs, really. Some songs could be any number of things, especially when it's just melody like this. That's why I've become pretty committed to choosing the right song title these days. A title and art help focus the intent of the song, although as you said, anyone could say "Nah, screw ants, this song is about being in the jungle." And they are more than free to do so :) Thanks for the review.

Great

You really paint a soundscape with your ambient songs. I have this and strange petals in my ambient folder on my computer :D

Gillenium responds:

I try to paint a soundscape with every song. I don't see much of a point otherwise. That's what I want to get from music - another place, another time, a living breathing thing. Maybe that's why I hate most other genres, haha. Thanks for the review!
