Reviews for "Battle f/t Portal Preview"

I can't wait!

If the rest of the movie is as cool as this trailer, tally up my "5" for that release.

Well done. I love the NG culture, and I love to see dramas based on it... especially when they are so well-made.

Excellent mix of 3d/2d work. VERY cinematic. I can't wait to see the finished release.

Wow!

That was way too short, but damn it was good! I felt like I wa watching the opening to "Super Portal Brothers Melee". I can't wait to see the final "Portal battle" movie. If it's quality will be anywhere near the quality seen her, it better get top slots across the board.

looks really cool

why are you reading this, back to work!

Good stuff, but...

Excellant work, BUT!!
You are relying too much on the cool factor of Swift3d. With Strawberry it looks great, but your Joe Zombie looked like crap. Sorry, but you need to learn to combine both Swift3d and regular Flash frame-by-frame animation, or your movie will be no more than another Terminator 3-- a crappy Hollywood effects showcase. You have promise, man-- don't waste it thinking that a cool program is the basis for good animation.

SecretAgentBob responds:

Hmm... actually I've never used Swift3D. Everything was modeled and rendered outside of flash, and then the rendered versions were imported in (thus the large file size). I used Carrara Studio for the modeling, and most of the special effects were achieved through actual video compositing with Final Cut Pro.

And Joe Zombie was frame-by-frame hand animation, which is why it doesen't look nearly as smooth as Strawberry clock.

Anyway, thanks for the review!

breath taking......

i don't know how you made this flash but that was awesome. very original too.
