this game sucked balls! it was boring as crap

this game was terrible. the controls were lagging behind like a chickmunk with its balls dragging on the freaking ground. it was boring as hell. i would never play this game evvvvvvvvvver aagian!!!!!!!!

Ok...

I thought it was pretty cool, but I think you should add a little more variety as shooting from the same window can get boring.

Drekkan, Tekken, Schmecken, Peckin', hmm....

There is a PC game called Drakan, but it is set in Medevil times, so I don't think you have any similarities to worry about. Nice shooter. Can't wait until it's done.
If you are worried about getting sued, put a copyright symbol on your creations (although you don't really need to place a copyright symbol on anything anymore in this country), put a in small statement waiving liability on all those who view the document(to protect yourself), and date it in the beginning somewhere; that way if somebody makes a similar name later and wants to sue you, you will at least have some form of proof online that you were first.

A Good Idea.

Here's my gripes:

a) Like the person before me stated, "Make it so that lasers or something appear each time you fire, along with a wee noise." I never knew whether i was firing, or if those damn ships were just randomly exploding.

b) Somewhat in accordance to the first one, when the bigger ships come in the second part, and they take multiple hits to kill? I didnt even know i was hitting them. Whats the deal?

c) Quality is continously reverting to Low every two seconds. I run a 1.4 ghz machine. I dont need low quality, maybe if you had a menu at the beginning where one could select their computer speed? This would be innovative.

Otherwise, not bad, keep working with it.

Half of level 1? As in fo real new improvements?

Just more levels?

Well then, here are my suggestions.

Firstly, even on low quality, it ran low on the uni machine (normally very speedy compared to my 666. Also, you seem to only sometimes fire lasers. This means that when you go around, clicking and destroying things, but not firing anything, you feel a wee bit distant from the action.

Also, you might want to consider limiting your ammo or something, because otherwise, it can become a case of blasting willy nilly at stuff you can't really make out...

Basically, make it so that lasers or something appear each time you fire, along with a wee noise.

Also, consider making it bitmaps instead of vectors, becuase I know shit, but this might be what's slowing it down so much...

Oh, and I might be wrong, but I think that the old Snes RPG was called Drakhen. It was also the name of an old (possibly WW2) aircraft.
