There's an interesting style to it, but it looks kind of odd. From the blurriness it makes me think you're aiming for a realistic look, but all of the details on the surface of it look unnaturally clear. The outer edge is also kind of odd... It seems to rim around the sun making it look almost 2D. That glare should be going around the entirety of the sun, so the surface should look more crimson and less yellow.
hmm. i think your right! i will have to see if i can make it a little bit more blurred in the front. i originally had it much more blurred but then it just looked silly. mabey a bit more blur would help. Thanks for the review!
ok here we go
first off nice scene but here's what needs critique
1. the glare off the sun is too thick, requires a tone down
2. there should be flaring off the surface, though good texture it lacks the chaos of a true sun
3. the outerspace seems dull but im glad you added in fog instead of just plainly doting a black backround, good points for that.
other than that its pretty decent so 7 for you

too thick you say... well looking at it it does look a little bit odd... perhaps you are on to something there, i will have to experiment. ahh flaring, now that is a tough thing to do. you know i really only tried a little bit to get the surface to flare. i was too busy trying to make solar flares on the outside. but i think you are right. i should invest some more time on that. very good. could use: planets in the background, and the stars could have been brighter. other than that, perfect.
