Great!

That was awesome! Excellent work. Keep it up!

beanies520 responds:

Dude, you rule. Thanks for reviewing yet another one of my movies. Thank you also for giving me good scores, and encouraging me with your positive comments. Glad you enjoyed, stick around for the next episode!

Hmmm..

Lets see, well,i dont wanna be mean,but....It sorta needs more work (sorry). But,i like how you made a good plot!!^.^

beanies520 responds:

Nah that wasnt mean. That's just advice. Yah I put sorta rush on this one, cuz i wanted to finish it before school starts (tomorrow). It took me bout a week or more effort on this. Thanks for writing, glad you liked the plot!

I was reading the review right before mine...

...and I must say that that user did have a point. First off all, the reason why your game is like 5mb, is because you have your sound quality way to high. (its probably like at 160.) you should bring it down to about 96. Second, its kinda lame that its only one level. You can make the whole game if you wanted to under one file. Try going to tucows.com, download an mp3 or wav editor, so you can decrease the sound file size, and you'll notice the difference in the file size in the animation.

beanies520 responds:

What's with all the reviews about the sound quality? Each time I've send I've tried lowering the sound quality, so people stop reviewing saying for me to try reducing sound quality: I HAVE! And on my next level, as said before, it will have less audio, so expect a maximum of 3 mb, probably around 2 mb when its done, or less. Also, as for complaints about how short it is: there are about 8 or more levels in this series, so dont worry! So people dont think its "lame" because theres only one level out... making flash isnt as easy as it seems. Trust me... after all eight levels are out, it will be really good. A whole game in one file? Yeah... but the music will be all the same and get boring, and I would have to submit the whole thing in one time, not in separate intervals, and then it would take like a year before I submit it all. I'd rather submit them one at a time. Well, thanks for the review and the advice, but I'm going to take a break from Flash for a bit after completing Clock Adventure 2, as school starts tomorrow. Thanks again.

didnt enjoy this...

CHANGE THE NAME OF THIS TO PACMAN ESCAPE DEMO... IF YOU SUBMIT SOMETHING THAT ISNT FINISHED NAME IT A "(FULL GAMES NAME HERE) DEMO" I DONT GET HOW THIS MADE IT THROUGH THE PORTAL (NO OFFENCE) after all I made the game Super Pac 2 I only put the first level so I named it
"Super Pac 2 A.G.R. Demo"
when I finish it I will name it
"Super Pac 2 A.G.R."
improve this and put more effort...
nice idea though,
here is a suggestion... make it so when the characters are talking instead of clicking next you could press a button on the keyboard... if you want I can help you with the flash, just e-mail me if you decide you want help my e-mail adress is:

Work a little Harder next time ok? good luck!

beanies520 responds:

First of all... I didnt want to call it Pacman Escape Demo, because this is part of the full game. If I try to fit the whole game into one submission, it would be over 10 megabytes. This is why I broke them down into levels; level 1, level 2, etc. I can choose which names I give to my submissions, and we both have this right. Also... the suggestion... i dont think i want to try that. I never want to use voices in my movies (except comp voices for Clock movies), as it is too much trouble. Plus, in the old-school days, PacMan didnt have a voice. But yes, it would improve the game a bit. I think the text and the "next" button works fine with this. Well, thanks for your offer for help and the review, but I think I can work on it myself. Thanks though.

Nice start but

There has to be a way for you to reduce the file size on this... there is no way it should be this big, that way the levels can be alot longer than this one was and it could be a better game overall if it was all in one package.

beanies520 responds:

Yea I know... it was originally a friggin 8.4 megabytes, which surprised me. Then I worked on audio optimization using tips on the submission page, and compressed the audio down to a 4.7 mb. Still, sorry for the huge file size, and as for the next level, there will be less audio to reduce the huge size of the .swf. Thanks for reviewing, and for the small tip!
