Reviews for "Caprice in B minor Variations"

Most excellent!

One of my favorite classical submissions in a while, probably because of its bare bones simplicity. It starts with a single theme and variates throughout... while as far from a revolutionary concept as one can get in music, this seems particularly apt to the single violin playing in this piece. A definite piece for chilling to at almost any time alone, or even the slightly faster segments would work well for background music to most anything.

I personally enjoy the first three segments, but I'm sure others are of differing opinion on that matter ;)

hehehe

dude you are just a genius. this was just amazing

haha

its like your giving a study guide for your music. This wouldn't stand alone too well, but i guess its more of a exploration than a realization. Would have to say that the arpegios in part seven were my favorite and I would like to see you expand on that in particular.

VA is for lovers and musical prodigys

Cool

But I'm hesitant to believe it's your own work. Did not Paganini write a Caprice for Violin in B minor? If this isn't it, then is it simply a scale type exercise? Please respond and explain the nature of this piece, you weren't specific enough in your comment. I'll abstain from voting until you do, if it's your work though then you're getting a 5 because this kicks ass.

Winterwind-NS responds:

this is indeed my own work :]

Paganini wrote 24 caprices for violin which is obviously what inspired this piece.
especially his 5th and 24th caprices.
and yes paganini probably did write a b minor caprice
wen composers write 24 of some kinda piece under one opus usually they try to cover as many keys as possible such as chopins preludes, etudes op.10 and op.25, bach's prelude and fugues, and other things i can name off the top of my head.

in fact, people reading this, you should youtube paganini's caprice 5 or his 24th caprice, theyre masterpieces that arent completely well known enough

thanks for the 10
