Not bad for a noob...
You should use Trace Bitmap for your backgrounds. It would make your flash look ALOT better. Rather than explaining what trace bitmap is (im too lazy) just go on some online flash forum and find out yourself. Trust me, its really cool.

Beats the crappy stick death but it was BORING. Even if the graphics aren't really good, a good plot will get you a better score. The important thing is how much work you put in the movie. Newbie's movies are crappy because they want to get a result fast and don't care for quality. Usual mistakes are white non centered backgrounds, badly placed layers, bad frame by frame animations, obvious things that makes the movie lok badly done laike blank spaces. Example, a rectangle for the floor but you can see the sides of the rectangle in the window. don't make these mistakes and it will be good
