Reviews for "*Link's Reflection*"

well lets see.

later in the song it gets better i'd say you should work on the opening a little bit. Its to basic. Other then that i think your on the right track for this song. Its got a wonderful sound to it and i could see this going far!

Thanks for the words of praise! It's always nice seein your reviews on our work and my partners solo work (kelwynshade). I was actually shooting for a basic sound on the intro. I imagined Link and Zelda chilling in the forest with Link playing his ocarina while remembering all the adventures he had been through, and then the scene fades into those epic battles. That scenario doesn't seem to be working though, lol. It seems a lot of people feel the same way you do, so maybe I'll go ahead and tweak it some more. Thanks for the advice!

Good

It's still far from over. I'm developing some more ideas, and you ARE going to have to make changes to the sound levels. Sorry dude, but this song will hit the all time greatest list, and you will do the work to get it there. lol

KTRECORDS responds:

It somehow made the greatest list anyways, lmao. I agree though. I still need to do a lot of work to it. I'll be thinking of ideas while ROB stomps you brawl, lol

Pretty good, needs some tweaking.

Let me just say this right off the bat: the intro needs work. It's a bit too simplistic for its own good.

The whole thing perks up when the second layer is introduced. It basically made the song.

The end is nice, just a tad bit repetitive. Mabye tone down the drums a bit though. All in all though, not bad at all, for an early version. Nice job. :)

KTRECORDS responds:

Thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to keep those in mind if I ever get around to finishing this one!

Some good and some not so good.

The intro didn't impress me, it was slightly too simplistic. Close, but not quite as good as it could have been.

I really enjoyed it once the 2nd layer came into it. Excellent during this section. I'd give you a timerange here, but IE seems to die if I try to scan while reviewing.

I didn't like the drums, honestly. It seems out of place. We have a beautiful, orchestral piece, a good take on a classic theme, and... I dunno, the drums can't be said to ruin the piece, not at all, but they just don't seem entirely appropriate here. I'm certain that they could be worked into a variation on this theme, but I'd've rathered if it weren't this one.

My personal taste coloured that a lot, I can tell, so don't take me too seriously. I'm not trying to ruin your day here.

6/10.

KTRECORDS responds:

I am always happy to have good constructive criticism. I'll see what I can do if I ever get around to finishing this song. Thanks for the advice : )
