Reviews for "Cello Concerto no. 1 3rd mvnt"

Intriguing

Very nice. I found it to be both stimulating yet surprisingly quaint. I can definitely hear various song influences, but interestingly not nearly enough for me to properly label them, which quite frankly is very nice in the "I 'think' I've something like this somewhere-oh wait, maybe not-oh wait I think I've heard-no wait no..." It both drove me mad yet entertained me significantly.

Tell me, what did you use to construct these movements (in terms of software/hardware)? I very much like this particular Cello you used - 06:10-07:35 makes me plead to you to know what you used because the Cello was crisp, clear, yet not tinny.

I've not felt this good yet maddened simultaneously before.

MusicalRocky responds:

Hey! I definitely know what you mean. It's blood-pumping sort of, but the whole thing feels kind of reserved. I dunno if that was a good thing, but oh well. Definitely some influences in here, though I can't name them either... haha

In terms of making this: I wrote the concerto in a notation software called Noteworthy Composer (v.1.75). Then I exported a midi file, which I imported into FL Studio. Once there, I loaded a VST called Edirol Orchestral onto each channel, so what you're hearing for the cello is Edirol's "Cello Solo Vibrato." I did this for each movement.

Glad you found it all entertaining, and thanks for reviewing,

Rocky

W0W!

I can't beleve I listened to all of it, Probley the longest song ive ever heard, I was impressed throughout the whole song I like how it always kept changing and not staying that same old tune over and over, Great job keep it up!

MusicalRocky responds:

Try the entire concerto :P It's like 30 mins almost

Yeah, I definitely used rondo form here, 3 different themes. (Well A is really a motif not a theme.)

Anyway, thanks!

Rocky

I signed up just to review this piece

Nope, not for a game. Just a standalone classical piece : D (Aren't those fun?)

Not the first person who's said it resembles FF : )

Drama, good way to describe it. Some dracula type images, definitely.
