hummm....
now this tune is essentially one of the best dark jungle/dnb tunes i have heard in such a stupidy long time...
only problem is...
your slicing of the amen is a little amatuer and lets down your fantastic synth work... stop just re-triggering dude!!! drop some reversed snares and more pitch shift.
also this sample at the beginning is just fantastic! that soundscape that you create is PERFECT for dark junglistic drums and bass and just sets the atmosphere of the tune!
but
then we get to the drop
and your amen flops like a flaccid penis :( dude! compression with a short release and mid attack before some dirty distortion should be a must for all use of amen breaks :) along with a little EQ to make some bits stand out...
there is a nice breakdown around 1:50 which i love and really lets off how intense is can get.
the mix is ok... but i think it just needs a little more care and attention. it feels like it was rushed... the low frequencies just don't seem to want to sit well with each other...
either way i think it deserves a 7 for the effort :)
