This is a very nice painting! I've been reading a few other comments about its "meaning" but I personally think it doesn't NEED to have a meaning at all and with or without one I think this painting is great.

I never write reviews but this post made me.
Honestly I don't see any deep meaning to it at all. The bug reminds me Stag Beetle which people use to fight one another. Normally they make them drag rocks to get stronger as training. (Its in an episode of samurai Champloo, check it out, its a real thing) So I guess this would be a fantasy form of it. However, it could also be the bug training the person to fight for all I know :)
my interpretation
To me this is like a life painting. the bug symbolizes the problems we face everyday. the man symbolizes us. and the man overpowering the bug and dragging it out symbolizes that with enough will power and determination we can overcome our problems no matter how big. 10/10 for the work

At first glance I thought "oh.. OK a bug is the guardian of the forest... I guess that's semi-original.."
And as I went to leave the page I noticed something small.. Something with more meaning to it..
A man is dragging this huge bug out of the forest?.. Or capturing the bug?...
My interpretation of the image was simply that it was not this HUGE monster as the guardian.. But this simple man (well not to simple).. Someone who works their butt off keeping the forest safe.
...And as far as the detail goes in this thing...
