Meh...
I'd like to start by saying that the art in this animation is impressive. I admire your style, and your take on Link is really something else.
My complaints come with the animation and story line. While the concept is interesting, and holds potential, I think you could have done much better on the actual animation. Also, this whole Link and Zelda dying crap, while I understand that you may have strove for a radical change in plot in order to deviate from the series, this is a bit dumb. I really don't see how this would ever happen in the Zelda universe. It may work in other dramatic anime, it doesn't fit the Zelda story line, and really detracts from the hero concept. (plus I can see where the confusion of Link throwing the boomarang into himself comes in. Should have made Gannon turning around more clear). Oh, and the music was repetative and anoying.
Well, that's my beef. I believe you spent over 100 hours on this cartoon. The characters were excelently drawn. But you really shouldn't have focussed all of your effort on the look.

I didn't really like this... There were some scenes that were really funny, like the part where Gannon(dorf?) drew a picture with a caption that said "Sorry I made you sad." That was really good. Even the part where he admitted that he eats when he gets depressed was kind of funny. Oh yeah, and the soup kitchen part was good too... But pretty much everything else was really annoying.
Particularly Link. He just seemed like one of those really cliche hyper-active supposedly really plucky and clever Bugs-Bunny-type characters. The kind that you see so frequently in anime. It was annoying. It almost seemed pretentious. I didn't like his voice either... Maybe if the dialog was better the actor could've done a better job.
Oh yeah... That chicken dance part... I understand how you might've thought that would be funny... And perhaps under different circumstances it might've been... But for some reason, I just didn't laugh. You'd think I would've thought it was as funny as the soup kitchen part, but... I don't know what happened...

It just wasn't very funny. Not really even entertaining. Chocolate Factory was kinda funny... I smirked.
