Very good graphics but boring movie.
I'm relieved to see artistic talent for once.
I love the artistic style in this flash. Very, very good stuff. You're obviously a practiced artist, and I congratulate you for not making fast, cheap crap.
Graphics = 9 for excellent drawing skills, dynamic scenes, making the characters look alive and passionate, for the "camera shaking" in the bird scene, and for making the entire animation run very smoothly. If you're not in college now, you better fucking go. The art community needs new blood in its veins. :)
The style was done very well... at first, I thought it was going to be a music video because of the caption on the bottom left hand corner, but then I realized that this was supposed to be viewed as a "replayed" narrative. The plot was effecient, and the philosophy (the question of human arrogance) was smoothly weaved in without digressing and getting retardedly technical. The only thing that bothered me was near the end of the movie, I had a feeling that the story was being a bit "rushed". The characters became a little more static, and there was a little less movement (not a lot, but a little). Style gets a magnificent 8.
The sound quality was muffled, and not very clear. The narrator's voice was monotonous at the expense of trying to sound stoic. The music became monotonous near the end, as well. Sound = 5.
The violence wasn't very strong, but it was obviously there. Violent scenes were carried out tastefully, and didn't get carried away. I LOVE THE BLOOD DRIPPING FROM HIS FINGERS, AGH! That looked pretty cool.
I like having links to the site, as well as the ability to choose the flash quality per computer setup. This brings your interactivity to a 3.
I didn't think it was totally hilarious (with the exception of the mad scientist), but I did invest emotional interest in the flash. I don't know where else to put emotional interest, so I conveniently plop it into humor. n_n
Overall, you get a good fat 7. Keep up the good work, and you'll go pro.
