Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

****Filesize is over 5MB, so I had to link to the version on my site.****

A follow-up of sorts to SPAEC. This is v2.0, a tweaked and updated version of APECS v1.0 which I submitted a few months ago.

Technical points: It chugs along fairly well on a 1.2 Duron (Thunderbird), but anything less and you'll probably notice some slowdown. If that happens, right-click and set the quality to MEDIUM or LOW.

I understand that at 6.46MB, this is a huge movie. And after some consideration, I decided not to skimp on certain things (though the 3D was compressed a lot, I stil have much to learn about it). I know it's long wait for 56Kers, but please bear with it.

If you don't understand the movie after watching, and you can't figure it out (some parts are really obscure). Then read the "What is Apecs?" section, don't view this without having watched the movie first. Needless to say, it's a step-by-step spoiler for the movie.

Overall, I hope those of you who can look beyond parodies, toilet humour and dress-ups enjoy this for what it is. A stab at something different.

HINT: The conclusion to the story is strongly hinted at by the numbering of each ACT. Watch the movie carefully, the clues are definately there, although possibly a little too obscure.

Reviews

1.0 didn't work for me but this one does... A black monolith... Isn't that 2001 a space odyssey? Good concept though. Good idea too.

It just said APECS and weird writing, I guess it was loading. But if it was,I was waiting for 15 minutes and just sed forget it.

Sure it shows this never-ending loop. And that is cool just for the art of it. I'm going to have to give this a 4 in the Blam/Protection points, only because it has no storyline. No real interest. This would be a great opening sequence to a feature lenght film, though.
