Of all the fight scenes in Super Mario Bros. Z that I keep seeing people make fan-made remakes of, Semi-Super Mecha Sonic VS the Axem Rangers X is probably the most common. I don’t blame them, though, it is great! And I thought, “I wonder what this fight would look like in my animation style…” And here we are; although, instead of Mecha Sonic for my remake of this fight scene, I instead decided to up the stakes and instead use Metallix from the SMBZ reboot, plus I just think he’s cooler (no pun intended XD).

In all seriousness, I hope you enjoy this take of mine on this fight scene, as it was really fun to make! Who knows? This might give Mark Haynes some ideas for whenever he officially remakes this fight scene ;)

And if you saw the release date of this video, it’s coincidentally the 17th anniversary of SMBZ Episode 6 (specifically here, for its Newgrounds upload). I thought this would be a nice way to celebrate it, and I hope you all enjoy the video!

Also, I both updated my intro and outro, and even used this cool new video editor called “WEILO, My Last Video Editor”, and man, is it great! Definitely using it MUCH more often for future videos, especially for Episode 2 of Mario, Sonic and Kirby: Warriors of Chaos, coming hopefully this December!
