A thing I wrote that I thought it would be cool to read over some footage that would accompany the theme. The soundscape came from me screwing around in Audacity for 15 or so minutes, and I thought it had a similar theme to the writing.
I was working on Santa Smoke Prologue and Globetrotter when friend of mine Noah who was interested in collaborating at the time offered his skills, and I had the idea of painting a mental picture for him and having him recreate it in Unreal engine because he was learning to use it at the time.
Clearly, Microsoft Sam read the script rather than myself, for two reasons, one being I have not found the confidence in recent times to try spoken word, and I've been really down in the dumps for 3 weeks recovering from a screwed up surgery. Finally started to move around more a couple days ago, ended up (gross/bloody warning): s̶p̶l̶i̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ o̶p̶e̶n̶ a̶ b̶i̶t̶ a̶n̶d̶ b̶l̶e̶e̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ a̶l̶l̶ o̶v̶e̶r̶ m̶y̶s̶e̶l̶f̶ s̶o̶ I̶ h̶a̶d̶ t̶o̶ g̶o̶ t̶o̶ t̶h̶e̶ d̶o̶c̶t̶o̶r̶ t̶o̶ g̶e̶t̶ c̶l̶o̶s̶e̶d̶ b̶a̶c̶k̶ u̶p̶.
Mentally drained from a week of agony and following weeks of boredom and insanity, and 3 moderate complications later, I caved and spent a fair bit of time scrolling social media (twitter and youtube), something I try strongly to avoid. It got the best of me and I felt even more miserable from doing nothing, to a point the day after I came back from the doctor (so 3 days ago) that I decided I am going to get back on the computer and finish up some old crap ive been working on. So I put this together, hosted a modded Minecraft server for my friends to play on with customized world generation and perfected configs, and made that little game about the philosophy of self destructive behaviour, insanity, and the internet.
Script: a pod of bots made a harsh landing on the red planet the immortal rover sustained a head injury doomed to live forever with amnesia and limited problem solving skills merciful would be water, on the brain, but it's bone dry round these parts biomechanical superbeings form a roaming grouphome home away from home, it seems new everywhere they go little do the rovers realize, they're like half blind field mice retracing the circumference of a small crater, made by their impact oh, they're hardly poor souls after all, ignorance is bliss life goes on one bot, nicknamed tom servo, not particularly capable of escaping small craters or repairing broken hardware, lost the ability to speak, and thereby the ability to call for help or talk sense into his handicapped crewmates, but is otherwise entirely conscious and unharmed it's going to be a long life for tom servo
I used DaVinci Resolve because that's what I've got for video editing, my dad bought some kind of big package and anyways I have a copy, but I am very inexperienced with it, I apologize if anything is wrong with it from professional editor standpoint. I hit the target for what my vision on this project was, and it was cool to work together with someone on something, made this a quick and easy project even though the pieces sat in a folder for like a month. I have spent more effort on this description than what I created ok done bye
