Great animation style! I agree that it's a bit lacking storywise, if you see it as a stand-alone submission.
So, I imagined that this might be a powerful opening scene to a Sci-Fi-movie, and if you see it that way, it workes rather good, since it captures the vierwers attention right from the start.
Very good animation, background and special effects. Also, great building of the atmosphere. Not much of a fan of the story itself and the sudden ending.
Ey thank you for the feedback! I do completely agree with the story not being super interesting. Some time ago while I was still working on this I had sort of an epiphany about my creative output in the past few years, where I realized I think I've been too hyper focused on working on the technical aspect or creating interesting(?) visuals a bit too much, which left out story from the equation pretty much entirely.
I'm planning on re prioritizing going forward a little bit, I will most likely try to make an actual full story in a comic instead of animation next, because I feel that would be a bit more flexible and faster medium to experiment with that, but hopefully this detour will in turn improve my storytelling capabilities in animation too.
