the game won't load i'm stuck on this black and red screen

WOW! The game is directly similar to Mario Combat.

I know it's in beta, but the combat feels pretty lackluster compared to the original prototype. Not saying the beta is bad per say, but it gets more noticeable the more I play it. That and I *immediately* noticed that I spam buttons a lot more than the original rather than actually thinking of various combos to use. Here's some things that come to mind:

>the berserk slam move literally costs nothing and you can on some parts of levels just instantly gain it back because you get meter from hurting enemies
>throwing is not good in this version: you have to be in neutral and then grab but if you're running then mario does a forward throw that doesnt even hurt the enemies which is... why does it exist?? it's hard to get momentum and then grab an enemy with the regular throw, you're either gonna grab a stunned enemy or a downed enemy which stinks. i really like using grabs mid combat to fight with me enemies
>blocking also felt kinda redundant, you're better off just beating them up by doing a quick hit away and then having access to your combo moves, i feel like perfect blocking or similar existed that it'd be more worth it
>katana can be... blocked by a fist trying to hit it??
>feel like the game has a LOT more of a bigger issue with the moveset because slide kick is a combo move now instead of a starter that stuns and is long range, asides from that i found myself struggling to use unique moves

Asides from that, y'all cooking. There's definitely a lot of development left for quality sake but I can see this getting there.

Atm the berserk bar is on hold to be updated in a later update, fully revamped, for now now it's more of a placeholder.

The combos are not yet finished, they are far from being finished. We are focusing more on fixing bugs and adding new levels/content and focus on the combos at a later stage. Mostly what you see right now are placeholders.

The next update will be Mario Combat campaign, along with some new combos and fixes. Please consider joining the discord server if you have more criticism :)
