The fight scenes had too much stopping and talking, and the lines were obviously trying too hard to sound edgy. Also, the old anime sound effects were pretty cringe. Everything else was pretty funny. Also, I absolutely got the Dragonflies reference.

I see a lot of promise in this show. I really like Maxine, she's a fun character and I hope we get to see more of her in future episodes. I know animating that fight scene was not easy in the slightest so well done for pulling it off. I look forward to seeing this series progress and evolve as time goes on :D

This series has a lot going for it and I'm kinda lovin' it, but I've got a few nitpicks.
Swearing is a requirement for most characters who are grumpy, and while it's acceptable I think makes their dialogue kind of repetitive, and lessens the impact of the swears when they would be effective.
The animation on the gestures are very good. Though some times they are standing still without moving.
Sometimes the characters do nonesensical things that go against their characters, when marc didnt liked to go into the cave at first, he wanted to go further in once he heard some suspicious music? Max did a complete 180 from what marc wanted, and she got cold feet once she heard something that should spark her curiosity.
The fight went all over the place, it changed between wrestling to quick swiping to projectiles at random. It was more like a group of action scenes packed together
Regardless, this was a pretty well done project and I liked it all the way through. It's a very impressive run time for the quality it had. Marc is a lovable goofball and we're here for him.
