I guess I can finally blogpost about this cuz I finished this last night at almost 6 in the morning and was completely loopy/delirious so I just didn't have the energy. There was so much randomly inconvenient garbage I had to tweak that night that it just doesn't look super consistent to me. Like the end part where it goes from half bod Ollie and Edmomd to the close up versions, it doesn't look as crispy as the part with Kuku and Quincy. Also the timing was somehow off even though it looked just fine in my roughs which messed up my whole perception of timing for the whole project. Just a bit salty that I couldn't work on this continuously with school stuff getting in the way. Like, I had a pretty good flow but then I had to take a break on it for a week. Either way tho, this is the most After Effects-y thing I've done and the difference from this and the animations I made using only Flash is pretty crazy for me. I'm planning on working on another yaoi comfort animation using more motion graphics techniques, hopefully when I'm on break. Cuz I know I'm gonna have to work on my annoying film for part of the break, so I wanna at least do the animatic. Mang, I don't wanna do job hunting during break. Cuz this is definitely gonna be a good portfolio piece, I just can't put it in my reel cuz it's not gonna be done. I think I have a decent amount of work I could put in for my reel tho. Hm.
