Enjoy the genuine artistic experience of painting in a cozy attic while getting bossed around by a telephone!

Controls: Mouse is used for everything. Make sure that you pick a brush and a paint pot BEFORE you attempt to draw, or nothing will appear on the canvas.

Changelog:

v1.02:

  • Added a new song.

v1.01:

  • Added talking/blinking animations to cauldi
  • Added mute function
  • Added fullscreen (hopefully this doesn't break)

I had more ambitious plans for this game, but it ended up being a proof of concept, pretty much. Still had fun learning Godot during the process of making it. I hope to come back to this and improve it soon.

Drew a perky little red thing and then my dog started yelling at another dog outside, thus ruining the immersion. Cauldi still looks a bit sketchy but I can excuse that because you were likely focused on making sure everything worked instead of looking polished.

A gallery feature or an PM feature similar to the Drawing Grounds is an obvious feature to add, but that's a whole other coding challenge that goes beyond simply making a pseudo art software. Good luck with your future projects in Godot, internet guy.

critatonic responds:

A gallery would be great; no idea if it's possible in Godot but I can look into it.

While I love the aesthetics of the game, it is literally unplayable in my window.
Please, add a fullscreen shortcut.

2023-11-01 EDIT: While the situation is much better, the Fullscreen button is barely reachable to me. Maybe adding a hotkey or two to complement the controls would help it just a tad more. I like te premise, tho!

critatonic responds:

I haven't tested any other resolution yet but I'll see what I can do

Update: you can now enable fullscreen using the button at the top right
