Grind for game exploit spells as you level up. I can see The Wizard Ran's influence in this. Though I don't think he ground his way so much as exploited his way to mystic exploitation. On a side note, Colonel Sanders was a fan of exploitation films. I wonder what he would've made of "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka!"

The coffee grounds bit wasn't lost on me, either.

Was this inspired by Cuphead? I'm old enough to remember when this would make the Homies say "HO!" and the Girlies want to scream. But I'm also old enough to remember when Crystal Castles came out, which was the first isometric game I ever saw, or played. I sucked like a two dollar whore, but at least I had fun. My arcade skills were not the greatest when I was a wee thing. Nor did I really excel at anything back then. Thank you for reminding me I sucked like a two dollar whore in my younger days, which sounds far worse out loud than it did in my head. As I had intended. In fact, even more so! Success, at last!!!

adriendittrick responds:

I have never played crystal castles :o
my inspiration from this is actually a very bad gameboy game called Dragonslayer, the isometric style is there because I wanted to code in some kind of terrain renderer!

not completely sure what's going on? pressed every button on my keyboard and tried as many things as i could and still couldn't attack? i trust you Adrien and i'd really like to play this

adriendittrick responds:

You need to pick up some beans and bring them to your house, it will increase your ATK stat so you can autoattack :)

Fun, short and sweet. This one is a classic isometric rpg, with all the grinding that implies, and spells that can be exploited to nuke the game completely. I liked the mechanics quite a bit, so it's a shame to finish the game so quickly.

adriendittrick responds:

I had way more plans for this one but the project was kinda overscoped so I ended it early X)

Seems like it could be a decent game with its pixel artstyle and the concept of coffee being the protagonist in a RPG, but I'd love to see a proper instruction on how to play, maybe in the description of the game.

adriendittrick responds:

it's the kind you have to learn as you go :)

youre weird as ever naming and describing the game all EMPTY like but it was a damn satisfying powertrip; i loved it. weird as hell obviously like what's with the debug room in the beginning but idk I figured it out. it was COOL and I liked eating beans and bulldozing monster dudes

adriendittrick responds:

glad you had fun on your powertrip :)
