I agree, the water could've been done better. I was attempting to make the water ripple and react to the rain using Dynamic Painting. Probably would've looked nicer if I had made the water plane smaller and gave it more subdivisions, or perhaps some other method. Either way, I do intend to improve on it next time I use this technique :)
